ABOUT Miss Pamela Pyles Linkhart

Soprano Pamela Pyles Linkhart, an internationally acclaimed classical singer, began her artistic training in early childhood. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Wichita State University and a fellowship at Columbia University, New York.

Her voice teachers have included world-renowned masters: the late Madame Yolanda Marcoulescour-Stern, Professor Herold Stark, Samuel Selman and Kestro Mukerjee. She also received advanced vocal coaching from David Garvey, (accompanist for Leontyne Price) and opera star Wilhelmenia Fernandez.

Ms. Linkhart has performed throughout the U.S. as well as Canada, Mexico, The Caribbean, India, Russia, Hong Kong, China and the Philippines. Critic Vjacheslav Azvalysleyn of Russian Life Newspaper wrote, “Pamela Pyles Linkhart possesses absolute pitch and an unusually beautiful soprano voice. Ms. Linkhart also spent many years traveling to India to study compositions by the late Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar. In the early 1990’s, Pamela received sponsorship from the City of San Antonio Department of Arts and Cultural Affairs, Renaissance Artist and Writers Association and the India-Asia Association.

In addition to Ms. Linkhart’s performance work, she has produced workshops and seminars for thousands of young people and was awarded by the Texas Commission on the Arts: Artist in Residency and was placed on the Texas Touring Artists Roster.

On June 27, 2004 Ms. Linkhart became a full member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, Inc. (NATS) and was recently certified in Contemporary Commercial Music (CCM) from the Vocal Pedagogy Institute at Shenandoah University.
